RIP old website

Do you ever love something so much you hang on to it for way too long, long past its function? So long that it becomes an antique, an artifact of not just what it was first intended for, but now an homage to your sparkly younger dreams? My old website was just that for me. It was lovingly designed by one of the most creative artists I've ever known, way back in the glory days of internet optimism.
Even though I lost the ability to update it, there it sat, a domain stuck in time. Endlessly cute, but functionally obsolete. I let it sit and ride, while my career launched with what felt like a bang, then hit a speed bump, and began stuttering along. After three books, it became stuck, as did my writing.
So while there's no longer adorable, clickable school lockers on my main page, there's a lot more potential here. This micro-blog is one of those things. Whether I'll get back an audience, I don't know (and yes, I know, writing blogs are, like, whatever). But this new site lives and breathes mostly at my whim, and not the other way around.
If you've found this, welcome!
